This bike is a replica of Loris Capirossis' 1996 Marlboro Yamaha on which he won the final round at Eastern Creek. This was the first victory for Wayne Raineys new 500 team.

This bike uses the new MiCo Products frame which has been designed for 1995,96,97 YZR500 replicas

This frame uses completely redesigned pivot plates which are more angular when compared to the rounded plates of the 98-02 frame.

Another major change has been the removal of the coils from behind the headstock to the side of the frame rails. This was current on the Yamahas of this vintage

This frame also has solid seat mounts to take a self supporting seat unit!!
