1995 - 1997 YZR500 frame

This frame has been designed specifically for the Yamaha RZ500 engine.

It is aimed at turning your bulky Yamaha RZ500 into a replica of a 1995 - 1997 YZR500.

Note - the big diferences between this and the 1998-2002 frame is the angular pivot plates and the removal of the coils from behind the headstock to the side of the frame which was common with that years frames...

My frame has been refined over 5 yrs of both road and track development. The geometry of a completed bike reads just like an original YZR500.

Wheelbase - 1400mm

Head angle - 24 degrees

The frames have been designed to accept most swingarms, but we recommend a 2006 R6 swingarm. This swingarm not only looks almost identical to a YZR500 swingarm, it is the swingarm which provides the optimal performance by weight and geometry. Other swingarms such as TZ or TZR(3XV) have also been used and provide excellent results as well.

A very wide range of forks can been used. These include R1, RGV, K636 and of course Ohlins R&T....

The base price of a 1995 - 1997 style frame is AUS$4500. A full race version is also offered which includes an adjustable headstock. It also has holes in the top of the frame rails near the headstock to allow for change of the front end. The race frame retails for AUS$5500.

Other YZR500 style frames will be introduced over time. Starting from the extisting 1998 - 2002 frame and a 1989-1991 version (currently being built) for those that love the Rainey era..

We are also looking at making a frame to replicate a late model NSR500. We have obtained a full set of these fairings and if any interest is expressed we will build and develop a bike!!
